Cereal is fine. It's fast, it's easy, and it gets the job done. But after eating it 300+ days a year, it starts to feel like a punishment. The good news? There are plenty of breakfasts that are just as fast and infinitely more satisfying. None of these take more than 10 minutes.
1. Avocado Toast with Egg (7 minutes)
Toast bread, mash half an avocado on it, top with a fried or poached egg, and sprinkle salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. This is a complete meal with healthy fats, protein, and carbs. It's a clichΓ© because it actually tastes amazing.
2. Overnight Oats (5 min prep the night before)
Mix 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup milk, 1 tablespoon chia seeds, and a drizzle of honey in a jar. Refrigerate overnight. In the morning, top with berries and nuts. Zero cooking. Grab and go.
3. Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie (3 minutes)
Blend: 1 banana, 1 tbsp peanut butter, 1 cup milk, handful of ice. Optional: scoop of protein powder. You can drink this on your commute.
